SUN VALLEY, Calif. - Axel Braun, the director of Compulsion, the Elegant Angel film that is nominated for 13 AVN-Awards this year, has signed on to direct a feature for Private USA.

"I viewed Axel's movie Compulsion and thought I was watching a Private movie," said Private USA General Manager Ric Williams in a statement announcing the deal. "After that, I knew we had to have him direct for us!"

"I'm very happy about working with Private," said Braun. "It's a big step up professionally, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be associated with a company of this caliber. Being able to shoot high-quality features and having them distributed in 48 countries is a dream come true."

Cadillac Highway, the video Braun will direct for Private, follows the story of a southern girl who leaves her hometown for the bright lights and big city of Los Angeles to chase her dreams of becoming a rock star. Naturally, things aren't always what they seem.

"Unfortunately her only contact in Hollywood is no longer a music producer, but a porn mogul," Braun explains. "Disillusioned, she takes off for Vegas in an old Cadillac convertible with the ghost of Elvis. Their surreal road trip takes her to hell and back, but inspires her to find her true self."

Braun, who has already found his Elvis, is holding a casting session at 2p.m. this Monday, December 8th at Private's offices in Sun Valley, located at 10947 Pendleton Street.

"I need people who really enjoy acting. Building a connection between the audience and the characters is a very important part of creating the sexual tension that I need to make the story flow," Braun said. "I need them to be motivated and committed. To me, it's never ‘just a porn movie' so it's my duty to inspire them to give their best."
