Biografia:
Juanita nacque a Edna, un piccolo paese del Texas. Sua madre mori quando lei aveva 9 anni e suo padre, che era un muratore, si risposo' (lui gia ne aveva 5 figli) con una donna che ne aveva aveva gia' 4 figli. Juanita scappo' spesso da casa (disse che era stata molestata quando aveva 5 anni da un vicino di casa che aveva circa 20 anni, e dan un bay-sitter maschile di 47 anni quando aveva 7 anni), e poi definitivamente quando era un teen e ando' a vivere con una sorella a Oklahoma City e poi con una altra sorella a Dallas.
All'eta' di 16 anni figuro' in un film esplicito, SMART ALECK (1951), che la rese famosa. Lei dichiaro' che fu forzata di girarlo da un uomo che incontro' in un locale, il Round-Up Club. Tempo dopo divento' una celeberrima stripper verso la fine degli anni 50, sotto il nome di "Candy Barr", siccome le piacevano i cioccolatini Snickers e Millionaires. Si esibiva nel locale Colony Club a Dallas, vestita in un costumino di cowboy: pistole, stivali, cappello. Era connettata con Jack Ruby, colui che uccise Lee Harvey Oswald, che era proprietario del locale accanto, il Carousel Club. Verso la fine del 1957, Candy fu arrestata per possesso di marijuana (meno di un oncia) e condannata nel 1959, dopo vari appelli, a 15 anni di prigione. Espio' soltanto 3 anni di carcere, e fu messa in liberta' condizionale nel 1963 dal governatore John Connelly. Nel 1970 Candy fu accusata di nuovo per possesso di marijuana ma fu assolta a causa di mancanze di prove. Candy Barr si sposo' 4 volte ed ebbe una figlia. Nel 1976, Candy poso' nuda per un servizio fotografico per la rivista "Oui".
Nonostante che film espliciti clandestini erano prodotti in varie parti del mondo dall'inizio degli anni 1900, SMART ALECK (1951) rimane il piu' notorio di tutti tempi, e Candy Barr rimarra' sempre la prima attrice hard americana.

Nota: Famosissimo film esplicito clandestino ("stag film") girato in un hotel a San Antonio (Texas). Un venditore ambulante incontra una giovane ragazza, l'invita nella sua stanza, fa sesso con lei, ma quando la forza a fargli un pompino, Candy rifiuta e telefona ad una amica che glielo concede, mentre Candy osserva tutto seduta vicino al letto. Candy dopo ritorna e l'uomo le lecca la fica.
Recensione postata al newsgroup RAME (ottobre 2001):...an intro and an end are (apparently) missing. Opens on Barr in a one-piece bathing suit taking a drink. Cut to her kissing a balding fair-haired guy in swimming trunks. He feels her breast through her suit, and the top gets pulled down. They stand, they pull down her suit, he feels up her breasts and kisses her. She pulls down his suit and they embrace, kissing, feeling. He lies her down and they continue kissing. He kisses his way up and down her body. She gets to lie on top of him, they kiss, he tongues and mouths her fairly puffy nipple. He rolls her over and gets back on top of her kissing, and starts fucking her mish. CU. They roll, he continues vigorously fucking with her on top, she sits up a bit CG style. She puts her hips and back into it. She sits up all the way, he feels her breasts, waist, thighs. Cut to a brief mish shot with him on top, then to her lying on her back, legs up, he standing at the edge of the bed fucking her. Cut to him kissing her and he crawls up to her face and approaches her mouth with his dick. She starts pushing him away, but her has one hand behind her neck. They really seem to struggle. He forces her head almost all the way down into his lap, but she continues pushing away. He shoves her away in disgust. He gets off the bed. She sits up and then stand up near him. They embrace. She pushes him down onto the bed, shown twice, from two different angles. She smiles and walks over to a phone. Smiling, she talks on the phone. Shot dims. Fade up on her sitting on the bed looking at the closed door of the room expectantly. She walks to the door, answers it, and a taller, clothed woman enters. She whispers into the ear of the woman, who nods, grinning. As the woman approaches the bed, her eyes briefly dart to the camera. The woman, now nude, sits on the bed next to the man and starts giving him a hand job. He pulls her head towards him, and she kisses his chest, and kisses her way down and begins to kiss, lick, and blow. They move into 69. Barr smiles and pulls the woman off the man completely. Barr sits on his face, and the other woman goes back to work at the BJ. The woman stops her BJ and the man appears to come, and both women get off the bed, and the film ends abruptly.
