DESCRIPTION FOR FREELOAD/STREAMLOAD MEMBERS
I've had several personal emails from people who want to know what
Streamload is and how it works.
Streamload is a site that allows you to store files FREE OF CHARGE.
Some files are not permitted, but for the most part, media files
(movie clips, music, pix, webpages, documents) are allowed.
Sometimes split movies (numbered as xxx.001, xxx.002, etc) cause a
problem. There are ways around it, but it required patience.
To start, visit
www.streamload.com, and sign up. There are 2 types
of accounts... free and paying.
A Freeloader account has many limitations, but will allow you to at
least try the service. You can upload (store) as many files as you
want for free, but you are limited to 10 files or 50 MB per week,
whichever comes first. Some people have gotten around this by having
several free accounts, but cookies on the pc prevent someone from
logging into more than 6 accounts per day. If you do the math, you
can figure out how many accounts you will need per week if you want
to download the max. And you can only download 1 or 2 files at a
time, at best.
A Streamload account (pay) has several options, but mostly related to
how much you can download per month. If you're simply downloading
clips that we mention here, either the first or second account should
be enough, and just store whatever is left after your download limit
is done until next month, and download more. Payment can be made
either with credit cards, personal check (mailed to them) or PayPal.
The only one that isn't immediate is the personal check option, since
it has to arrive in their hands before they can activate your
account.
With a pay account, you can download as many files at one time as you
want, and the size of the file is no longer an issue, as long as it
doesn't surpass your monthly download. To do this, there's a program
called GetRight that you should download & install. There's also
another program, but it doesn't work as well for Me, so I don't use
it. Now, I have a LAN connection, so I have no idea how well this
works with a regular modem or a cable modem setup. If someone else
here is able to fill in that information, it might be helpful.
Uploading can be time consuming, but if you're willing to split files
for the freeloaders, you might also have time to upload the split
files. That's up to you. I no longer split the files, unless on
special request, and even then, I tend to resist. Streamload really
doesn't like split files.
That's pretty much it. I strongly recommend you read the FAQ
section, and browse around the site. You can modify certain
features, and create new folders in the My Stuff folders, to help you
keep your files organized. You can also create them under your
Inbox, but I've found it's easier to manage them if I keep them in
the My Stuff folder, and then subfolders from there.

Ammesso e non concesso che io desideri pagare per vedere il prodotto...preferisco spendere 25 euro in un mese per scaricare giusto "QUALCHE CENTINAIO" di Mb da un sito "serio" e tenermeli, non credete caro staff di "salieriTV"????
Mi sento vagamente preso per il culo...sarà solo una mia impressione?
